Solid State Free html5 template

About Solid State

I’m always looking for great examples of responsive design. I’m always looking for free templates to share with my readers as I find them. This week’s selection is called Solid State, by HTML5Up, who has created some excellent free templates over the past couple of years. Solid State is a great example to add to the list, with a slick design and a simple layout, Solid State could be used for just about anything. Let’s take a look at the Free Solid State template and its features.

Solid State circle image

Solid State features an angled design for each section, which breaks the visual monotony of most “block” designs. The angles tend to lead your eye down the page in a swaying, back and forth pattern. This would be perfect for a site that tells a story, which is a popular method of selling and marketing right now.

Solid state alternative

The central section is meant to represent a type of news section, like one you would find on a blog. If you know WordPress, you could easily adapt the layout to WordPress, making a truly unique blog design for your business. The two column design for this section provides a great deal of contrast to the diagonal sections at the top of the page.

Solid state contact form

The bottom section opens up to a contact form, with a gorgeous mountain background. This section contains a contact form, as well as your own business information that makes it easy for visitors to get in touch with you.

This website template is responsive, which means it looks great on tablets and smartphones, too. The entire layout reflows to fit your mobile device.
