Blend Me In: A very Cool Photoshop App
As a designer, it has sort of become a trend to comb the web looking for quality UI Kits and icon sets, in order to stay up to date with the latest design trends. It also helps us to save time and save us a lot of work from having to create things from scratch. The problem is, we end up spending a lot of our time sifting though tons of different websites looking for these assets. Today’s freebie aims to solve that problem. Blend Me In is a free Photoshop app that brings icon sets directly into Photoshop. That’s right, you don’t have to leave Photoshop to find quality assets to use for your icons. Now, you can create mockups for websites and apps quicker than ever, all right inside of your Photoshop interface. The cool thing is that Blend Me in is available for Illustrator, too! Save time, work efficiently and get instant access to tons of great icon sets.
Blend Me In is easy to install, and works on Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 and CC. All you have to do is install them via the extensions manager, and you’re all set. Since these icons are Creative Commons, you can use these icons for free in personal and commercial projects. The entire interface fits right inside of a Photoshop panel, which is completely unobtrusive, and you can drag assets into your current canvas and use them in the original format, whether they are layers, vector objects, adjustment layers, etc.
