Neon Text Effect in Photoshop

It doesn’t have to be difficult to create a neon effect in Photoshop, you just have to know the tricks to make it happen. You can create a neon text effect in Photoshop in just a few easy steps, which I’ll show you in the video.
It’s best to create your neon effects using paths or shapes. However, you have to convert your text to a shape in order to make this happen. With a few handy tricks to converting your text to paths, you can create interesting effects. All it takes is a little know-how and you can create a glow effect in just a few minutes. All it boils down to is stroking your path with a brush and then adding Inner and Outer glow layer styles to that layer. Choosing the right Blend Mode is important too. Setting the blend mode to Hard Light makes it so that your colors really stand out and glow. Soft light is to subtle for this effect. Neon has a strong, colorful glow and hard light is the best way to replicate this effect.
