Why Quality Web Design Is Important
I just recently wrote a post on my personal design blog/website explaining the various reasons why quality web design is important to every business. If you would like to check that out, you can view it here. It is important for your clients to know the value of quality web design and why it is essential for their business growth. Also, if you would share this post with others and like my site on Facebook, that would be much appreciated.
It is easy to pitch a website to clients, but it is important for us to educate our clients and recognize why quality web design is important to their business. They need to know the value of our services and that for a quality website design, a lot of work goes into it. Good website designers don’t just slap templates together and make a website. Careful planning and strategy goes into every project to ensure that our clients are getting the most ROI (Return on Investment). Many business owners don’t realize that just having a site up doesn’t mean anything if it isn’t a quality site. A poorly designed, non-functioning website can hurt their business more than help it.
If we just keep this in mind, educate our clients about the value of our services, and back up our claims by creating quality websites for our clients, our profession as a whole would be more appreciated and trusted. I can’t tell you how many times I have been brought in after someone has paid $1000’s for work that wasn’t completed to begin with, or the person didn’t know what they were doing, did no SEO work on their site, didn’t integrate social media, or anything that speaks of quality. On a side note: If you are building a website using WordPress as a CMS (content management system), you can’t just slap 20 WordPress plugins together and call it a website. If I do use plugins, I keep it cut down to only what I need, such as Yoast’s SEO plugin, and a couple of other essential ones. Too many plugins makes a site load extremely slow.
