Crello: A Free Design Tool
If you’ve ever wanted to push out a social media Post, a blog graphic, or any other supporting graphics, such as a banner ad or a cover photo for your social media accounts, it can be tough to whip something up. That’s one of the main reasons that designers and marketers by design templates in marketplaces. A lot of people wish for starting points in their design process. A few days ago, I wrote an article about different design tools that I like to use to be able to do things quickly. Well, I have a new one to test drive, and it is called Crello.
Depositphotos has created a design tool that enables anyone to create their own social media and promotional graphics. Not only is the interface intuitive and easy-to-use, you can use stock photos in your designs. The tool itself is free, but certain features have to be paid for. On the other hand, those features are only $.99. You can save a ton of time by using Crello’s vast library of pre-built designs you can customize and make your own in minutes.
One of the toughest things to remember are the dimensions of every social media outlet out there. Some images are square, while others are rectangular. Trying to keep those dimensions straight in your head can be confusing and time-consuming. Using Crello, all of the presets are already loaded in. All you have to do is choose the purpose of your image, and it will already be set up at the proper size.
Another standout feature is the ability to upload your own fonts. You can upload your own images, like a lot of other design tools, but I haven’t seen one yet that allows you to upload your own font. This is critical in keeping all of your brand images and graphics consistent. One big struggle I’ve found with these tools is that they don’t look like my other graphics or images.
You don’t have to worry about variety with Crello. It comes packed with 6000 different templates, as well as 10,000 different design elements and 60 million high-resolution stock photos. With this much variety, it will be nearly impossible to create the same design twice.
You can apply filters and effects to images directly in the tool. This means that you can take an average looking stock photo, and apply a filter to it and give it an astounding look and feel. You can also add that vital amount of contrast you need to make your text stand out when it’s placed over an image.
Another feature of Crello is that you get multiple uses in your license. Other similar tools give you the option for single use licenses and multiple use licenses. With Crello, it is automatically included.
